Volltreffer — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 June 2026

The short version: Volltreffer is a single-player artillery game. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no advertising IDs. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous crash diagnostics, sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics purely so bugs can be found and fixed. Your game settings stay on your device. We never ask for your name, email, or location.

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the Volltreffer mobile game (the “App”). It is written with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and German data-protection law in mind, since the App is operated from Germany. It is also the privacy policy referenced from the App's Google Play listing and Data Safety form.

# Who is responsible

The controller responsible for data processing in connection with this App (Art. 4(7) GDPR) is:

Nikolaas Steenbergen
Sanderstraße 18
12047 Berlin, Germany
Email: contact @ klauskode.com

Full legal details are listed in our Impressum.

# What the App does not do

  • No account, sign-in, or user profile.
  • No advertising, no ad networks, and no advertising identifier (no Google Advertising ID).
  • No marketing, behavioural, or usage analytics.
  • No access to your location, contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera.
  • No data is ever sold or shared for marketing purposes.

# What we collect, and why

1. Crash & stability diagnostics — via Google Firebase Crashlytics. When the App starts it initialises Google Firebase. If the App later crashes or hits an unexpected error, an automatic, anonymous report may be sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics on our behalf. Such a report can include:

  • the type of error and a technical stack trace;
  • your device model and Android version;
  • the App version and basic runtime state at the time of the crash;
  • a randomly-generated Firebase installation identifier — this is not your name or account, is not linked to your identity, and is reset when you clear the App's data or uninstall it.

This data is used only to diagnose and fix problems and to keep the App stable. It is never used for advertising and is never sold. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating a stable, secure, and functioning game. You can object to this processing at any time (see Your rights); because the App contains no in-app toggle, the simplest way to stop all data collection is to uninstall the App.

2. Game settings stored on your device. Your game options (sound, physics, wind, weapon and scoring settings, and similar preferences) are saved locally in the App's private, per-app storage on your device. These settings never leave your device, are not personal data, and are removed when you clear the App's storage or uninstall it.

# Permissions

The App requests only two permissions: Internet (INTERNET) and network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE). These are used solely to initialise Google Firebase and to transmit the anonymous crash diagnostics described above. The App does not request location, contacts, storage, camera, or microphone permissions.

# Multiplayer

Online multiplayer is not active in this version of the App. No game-session data, player names, or sign-in data are collected or transmitted while you play. The supporting code is shipped in a disabled state.

If a future version enables online multiplayer, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, to describe the additional data involved — for example an anonymous game identifier, a player-chosen nickname, and tank choices exchanged through Google Firebase. Where multiplayer data is processed, the underlying Firebase Realtime Database is configured in the European Union region (europe-west1).

# Third-party processor (Google Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, to process crash diagnostics on our behalf as a data processor (Art. 28 GDPR), under Google's data-processing terms. Google's handling of this data is additionally governed by Google's own policies:

  • Google Privacy Policy
  • Firebase Privacy & Security

# International data transfers

To provide crash diagnostics, Google may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers are safeguarded under Art. 44 ff. GDPR — Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and Google additionally relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are set out in the Google and Firebase policies linked above.

# Data retention

Crash diagnostics are retained by Google Firebase Crashlytics for a limited period (currently up to 90 days) and are then deleted. Game settings stored on your device persist until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.

# Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. For Berlin, this is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.

# Your choices

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App. Clearing the App's storage removes your locally-saved game settings and resets the random Firebase installation identifier.

# Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

# Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or to legal requirements. The “last updated” date at the top indicates the current version, which is always available at this URL.
